Privacy Policy

1. Data controller

The person responsible for processing personal data in connection with Freeboard and this website is:

2. Freeboard app

Freeboard does not collect, transmit, or sell personal data to the provider. The app has no user account, advertising, tracking, usage analytics, or external crash reporting.

Financial information entered into Freeboard is processed on the user's device. If optional iCloud synchronization is enabled, this information is synchronized through Apple iCloud or CloudKit within the user's personal Apple account. The Freeboard provider operates no application server and has no access to this information. Processing by Apple is governed by the user's Apple account settings and Apple's privacy terms.

Local app data can be removed from within the app or by deleting the app. Information stored in iCloud can be managed and deleted through the app or the Apple account's iCloud settings.

3. Website

This website uses no cookies, analytics, tracking, advertising, externally loaded fonts, or contact forms.

Technically necessary server logs may be created when the website is accessed. They may include the IP address, date and time, requested address, HTTP status, amount of data transferred, referrer, and browser identifier. This information is used exclusively to deliver the website, maintain stability, diagnose errors, and prevent abusive access. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in secure and reliable operation under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Server logs are processed locally on the private server, are not combined into user profiles, and are deleted when no longer required for operation and security. They are retained for longer only when necessary to investigate a security incident or comply with a legal obligation.

4. Contact by email

If someone voluntarily contacts the provider by email, the sender address, message content, and technical message metadata are processed to answer the request. This information is deleted after the request has been resolved unless a legal retention obligation applies.

5. Recipients and international transfers

Website and contact information is generally not disclosed to third parties. Disclosure occurs only when legally required or necessary to prevent or investigate a specific attack. When iCloud synchronization is enabled, Apple processes the relevant app information under the terms of the user's personal Apple account.

6. Data-subject rights

Subject to the GDPR, individuals have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and objection. Requests can be sent to freeboard@wellniak.com.

Individuals also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection supervisory authority. For private-sector controllers in Bavaria, the competent authority is generally the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision, Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.

7. Changes

This policy will be updated if the application's features or data-processing practices change.
